After Nintendo's amiibo depicting Street Fighter 6's roster was announced at a price fans deemed too high, the tables have turned, and they've been found on Walmart clearance racks.

Fans have been expressing their frustrations regarding amiibo pricing since the latest wave of non-Nintendo IP figures was announced. When amiibo launched in 2014 —originally for the Wii U— Nintendo released high-quality characters (albeit there were defectives in the pile, dual-wielding cannon Samus being a good example) from Super Smash Bros. in small trophy-like figures reminiscent of how they appear in-game. These figures were originally priced at USD 12.99, and they've since seen many price hikes.

Over the past 10 years, amiibo have increased at an exorbitant rate, going over triple their originally released price for the base Super Smash Bros. figures. Fans have taken to forums such as Reddit to air their grievances on the new pricing. But now, fans are sharing their excitement around the now-clearance price-stickered Street Fighter 6 amiibo that has been found at Walmart.
