The first Battlefield 6 open beta has come to an end, and the devs are already working their way through the feedback. While we don't know if the changes and fixes will be made in time for the second beta test on August 14-17, the overall consensus was that the absolutely massive beta was a success.

While the devs will be incorporating some of the feedback into the final build of Battlefield 6, there will be some things the community will just have to deal with, like the method to unlock more guns. Currently, weapon unlocks are tied to your career rank and the weapon unlocks are randomly lined up. The community isn't too happy about this progression system.

As illustrated in a Reddit post by Aidan-Sun, the current way that you can unlock new guns in Battlefield 6 is very random, and doesn't reward you for specializing in a certain type of weapon. A new weapon is unlocked every time you level-up your career rank, but the problem is that it might be a type of weapon you aren't used to or don't even like using.
