Capcom is, unsurprisingly, about to throw the kitchen sink at Monster Hunter Wilds in an effort to improve fan sentiment and sales. After devastating financial results, which showed the company had eight games that sold better than Wilds last quarter, a lot of work needs to be done, and that certainly seems to be the case.
The company just announced that the game is set to receive a new update tomorrow, which will introduce new nine-star tempered monsters and buff almost every single weapon.
Monster Hunter Wilds' negative sales come as no surprise. It lost 98 percent of its players in under three months, sitting at 'Overwhelmingly Negative' reviews on Steam for a large portion of its life to date. Previous updates to the game only made things worse.
In an effort to fix things, Capcom just revealed its patch notes for Monster Hunter Wilds v1.021, and its highlights include tempered nine-star monsters and some major weapons changes.
"At HR 100 or higher, tempered versions of the following nine monsters will now begin to appear in the field as 9★ quests: Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, Arkveld, Mizutsune, Lagiacrus, Seregios," the patch...
