Capcom could be preparing some classic Resident Evil games for the remake treatment, as a prominent leaker is claiming that two are in development, but fans could be waiting a long time before they can play them.
Capcom has been steadily remaking the older Resident Evil games, but there are still a few titles that have only received remasters. They’re still playable on modern systems, but the remasters have a lot of QoL issues that make them frustrating to play.
Some of the older Resident Evil games could be returning, as leaker AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem has revealed on Twitter/X that Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica are being remade. They believe that the games are targeting a 2027/28 release, but they were unsure of the order.

Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil - Code: Veronica are available in remastered form, but these are spruced-up versions of older games. As such, they can be a pain to play, especially Code: Veronica, where it’s easy to get into an unwinnable situation if the player doesn’t have enough ammo and healing items for one of the bosses.
