This item, which is literally just a golden frying pan, is highly sought after among the Team Fortress 2 faithful, as it has a satisfying bonk noise and lets you turn enemies you kill into solid gold.
Over the years, its value has steadily increased, and the item is now valued at around $6,800. That's because the chance of getting the right drop for the golden frying pan to be inside is rather low, and then the chances of actually getting the pan are even lower. Before today, there were only 435 in existence, though that number is now down to 434 thanks to a blunder by one of TF2's more notorious players.
