PlayStation Plus is a pretty divisive service. Some find it middling at best given its high pricing scheme. Others have committed the entirety of their gaming time to its catalog. One thing's for sure - its monthly offerings vary dramatically in perceived quality.
August 2025 is a good one. It's one of the best, even. Folks who have been hoping for heavy hitters will be pleased. Somehow, they've even satisfied more niche gamers like myself. I'm impressed.
We've got Marvel's Spider-Man coming. We've got Mortal Kombat 1 coming. Neither game needs much introduction, but I'll give 'em one, anyway. Spider-Man was one of the best video games of 2018, a massive success that put Insomniac - already a proven developer - on so many people's radars.
Mortal Kombat 1 is a 2023 fighting game that might not be everybody's favourite installment, but it sure has its fans. More importantly, it's the most recent, and thus most consistently played, title in the series.
