The Resident Evil community routinely feasts courtesy of a relatively consistent leaker known as both Dusk Golem and Aesthetic Gamer. While not everything he says comes to pass, enough of it has passed muster through the years for us to report on his claims.
Lately, Dusk Golem has been particularly chatty. Earlier today, we reported on his comments regarding Leon Kennedy's future in Resident Evil Requiem and beyond. But there was more from the fellow that we almost missed, and it's certain to pull some long-time fans in favour of (or against) Capcom's next big remake plans.
Thus far, Capcom has remade Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4. Speculation has abounded that the next project would be either Resident Evil 5 - the number keeps going up, you see, it's really quite novel - or the original Resident Evil, which did get a remake of its own, but I think 23 years is a long enough time to justify another one.
