Diablo 4 could use some good news. Season 10's longevity has proven to be a dry spell, and last week's patch notes for build 2.3.3 have rather underwhelmed. Oh, and Rod Fergusson just left, but that's arguably neither here nor there. There's just been a lot going on lately, and yet, woefully little is actually happening.
When the Spiritborn class dropped through last year's DLC, plenty of fans questioned Blizzard's decision not to roll with the much-requested Paladin class instead. While the following information doesn't guarantee that Paladins are en route to Diablo 4, it does rather dramatically increase the likelihood - and they might be a reasonably soon addition, too.
As spotted by the Spanish Diablo fan site Diablo Next, an internal build labeled 2.5.Xpaladin67961 has been found. The word couched by a capitalized letter and five digits is, needless to say, important. Vendor builds have utilized the name 'Fenris' previously, and as Diablo 4's seasons roll by, build names' numbers tick ever-upward.
The ongoing ninth season is Patch 2.3.0, and the upcoming tenth will be Patch 2.4.0. Therefore, the '2.5' part illustrates the high likelihood that this build will involve Patch 2.5.0....
