Marvel Rivals hasn't had a perfect record when it comes to fan service during its first year, but it's pretty darn close. One of the cooler things Netease has done so far is strike up a deal to turn the advanced suit from Spider-Man 2 into a skin. Turns out we can hope to see more of that in the future, as Rivals' creative director has confirmed there will be more crossovers of that ilk in the future.
Speaking to Rivals director Guangguang during the Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid-Season Finals, Insider Gaming asked if we can expect crossovers with other Marvel games, specifically mentioning the upcoming fighting game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Guangguang refused to reveal any specifics, but confirmed that there are plans for future collaborations with other Marvel titles.
Fighting Souls would make a lot of sense. Not only because we've been shown the game so we know what some of its characters look like, but because the character models in the fighter are very different from the ones used in Rivals. They make the Marvel heroes and villains look different from anything they have ever been in before, making them perfect for unique new crossover...
