Pokemon Fans Are Already Worried That Lumiose City Will Be Too Small In Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Demo impressions have been rolling in for Pokemon Legends: Z-A from folks who have been fortunate enough to give the game a quick spin at Pokemon World Championships 2025, including some thoughts from our own Eric Switzer. Most of what I've read has ranged from modestly impressed to positively glowing, but more than a few fans have been left pondering whether Lumiose City will be far too small to function adequately as the game's sole setting.

Based on demo footage recorded at the event, Lumiose City does look fairly compact. Traversal estimates have been pegged at around three minutes from one side to the other. Conversely, it looks pretty packed, and the zigzag nature of its boulevards should help to mitigate concerns.

For the past couple of years, there's been a pretty great ResetEra thread which has functioned as something of a one-stop spot for the discussion of rumours, leaks, and speculation. Those first two words are important to emphasize, because if you're looking to go into Pokemon Legends: Z-A (and possibly even the presently-unannounced tenth-generation mainline games) unspoiled, you'll need to refrain from poking around in there too much.
