For Hollow Knight fans, the wait for Silksong is becoming unbearable. It's been more than six and a half years since the Hornet-focused sequel was announced, but numerous delays, showcase no-shows, and periods of radio silence have left the game's audience ravenous, on the cusp of losing their collective minds.

While it's clear that Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the most highly anticipated titles in games, new data has shown just how desperate the audience is, with it sitting comfortably as Steam's most wishlisted.

In new research published by The Alinea Insight newsletter, Hollow Knight: Silksong has been revealed to have 4.8 million wishlists on Steam. Considering the first game has sold around nine million units on the platform, 4.8 million is a staggering number.

The figure is made even more impressive, however, when compared to Steam's other most-wishlisted titles. Battlefield 6, which sits in second place, currently has 2.8 million wishlists (although that's likely to rise with the second beta currently ongoing), Arc Raiders, in third, has 2.5 million, and Dying Light: The Beast and Borderlands 4 have 2.3 million and 1.8 million, respectively. That means Silksong has almost double as many wishlists as the second-placed...
