Battlefield 6's open beta has been a behemoth. Over the course of the last week, millions of players have jumped in across PC and consoles to get their Battlefield fix.

With the beta being so successful, players have seemingly been reminded of what they loved about EA's FPS franchise, and each of the last six military shooters has seen a surge in players since the beta launched.

Battlefield 6's open beta is a record breaker. Despite a wave of cheaters, the game surpassed Monster Hunter Wilds to have the most successful beta in Steam history, with queues of tens of thousands of players waiting to jump in. Players were so desperate, they even tried playing during the beta's downtime.

With the hype surrounding it before it launched, and the three-day break between the first and second parts of the open beta, players have evidently been yearning for more Battlefield. Each of the last six entries into the series (excluding Hardline, because is that really even Battlefield?), has seen significant increases in their player counts over the last few days.

According to SteamDB, 2013's Battlefield 4 is the biggest winner, seeing a 117 percent increase in its peak...
