While the act of actually playing video games is almost always fun, not every video game is fun, per se. Of course, there are some rather hard video games in the Soulsbourne genre that aren't fun for a lot of players. And there's also video games that have stories so sad that, no matter how good the gameplay is, you'll end your play session feeling down.
In a new survey conducted by Dengeki Faminico Gamer, over 4,700 Japanese gamers took the time to submit what they believe is the saddest RPG of all-time, one that made them cry endlessly. The end result is a list of 40 games that are among the saddest titles you could ever insert into your console, headlined by a game that to this day remains as one of the saddest experiences all around.
Right off the rip, Final Fantasy 10 was voted as the saddest RPG of all-time by the more than 4,700 readers who responded to the survey. It's the second instance that gamers have voted for Final Fantasy 10, as it was previously listed among the saddest games of any kind by American gamers.
