It's not often you see an indie game get new content over 17 years after release, but I can't think of many more worthy than Castle Crashers. It's a game that has undoubtedly shaped a lot of kids growing up, myself included, and it got some new DLC earlier this week in the form of the Painter Boss Paradise expansion.
It's not a massive DLC, including just a new character and fancy new art, but the integration of Steam Workshop is absolutely huge. With this new DLC, players can essentially make their own custom characters and upload them, letting anybody seamlessly use them in their own games. It didn't take long for the extremely cursed clips to start surfacing on social media.
We should all know by now that if you give gamers any form of creative tools to make whatever they want, the most cursed creations will soon follow. For example, a Twitter user called Shooter0211 has already shared two examples of Castle Crashers fans at their most absurd, as you can now play as either Hatsune Miku or Dr. House. Hell, you can pit them against each other now.
