Battlefield 6's beta has come to a close, with the second weekend finishing up earlier today. It'll be a couple of months before we return to the war-torn streets of Cairo and Washington, DC, levelling entire cities with a few C4 charges and an overzealous tank. But fans are hoping to get another turn at the game next weekend, this time with a bigger map.
"We need a third weekend to try an actual large map for complete feedback," u/Mammoth-Package9775 posted to r/Battlefield. A major complaint with the beta so far has been how small the maps are, each of which emphasises close-quarters infantry combat. There hasn't been a true showcase of traditional, large-scale Battlefield warfare, with all of the toys out to play.
Dataminers have uncovered two new maps, both of which are far bigger than Siege of Cairo.
"It really is confusing that they'd do two weekends and not a single big map," said u/Cloud_N0ne. "Liberation Peak is open, but even it feels a tad small."
