While we already reported on The Lost Harvest premium DLC headed to Dune: Awakening players, Funcom also has plans to roll out an update soon that can be enjoyed by everyone.
The online RPG's first free major content update, referred to as Chapter 2 by the developers, will add on to the game's main story and contracts, releasing in parallel to The Lost Harvest expansion.
A trailer was released today, and those interested can test the game out at no cost.
Dune: Awakening Chapter Targeted For September
In the press release sent out, Funcom mentions that Chapter 2 will be released on September 10 for free. While The Lost Harvest expansion will bring a new standalone story and unique cosmetics, the free content update is nothing to sneeze at either, as it'll include:
According to Funcom, Chapter 2 is "picking up after the sinister revelations at the end of the base game’s storyline." Expect to see new locations, new characters, as players "delve deeper into the past" and "unravel a web that stretches into the darkest corners of the Imperium."
