The price of all PlayStation 5 consoles is going up in the United States of America as of tomorrow, with a huge increase put in place by Sony.
As a result of the ongoing tariffs implemented by President Donald Trump, video game companies have been increasing the price of their products. Indeed, this isn’t the only time that Sony has raised the PS5’s price, but it was in regions other than the USA, as countries like the UK and Japan were hit first.
With Gamescom 2025 ongoing, Sony tried to slip the news of the PS5 price bump in a post on the official PlayStation Blog. According to this post, the price of all three PS5 variants will go up in the USA as of August 21, 2025.
