Star Trek: Voyager Is Somehow Getting A New Video Game Almost A Quarter-Century After It Ended

Star Trek: Voyager ended its seven-year quest to return home from the Delta Quadrant in 2001, but that hasn't stopped the series from maintaining momentum throughout the franchise's ever-fervent fandom. At Star Trek Las Vegas 2025, a thirtieth-anniversary reunion with the show's main cast gathered on stage with their customary good cheer was praised to high heaven as arguably the single best thing at the convention.

That's all well and good, but I'm still a bit stunned to see a brand-new Star Trek video game unveiled with full-blown Voyager branding a whopping 24 years after the series finale.

Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown is "coming soon" from developer Gamexcite and publisher Daedalic Entertainment. Here's the official blurb courtesy of the game's Steam page:

"Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown is a story-driven survival strategy game in which the fate of the iconic starship is in your hands. Take the helm, manage the ship and resources, and make difficult decisions. Will you be able to bring home the ship and its crew?"

There are a lot of FTL-esque gameplay mechanics on display here, which is strange timing given that Battlestar Galactica is getting something...
