Don't Expect To See Hollow Knight: Silksong Reviews Before Launch

Hollow Knight: Silksong is launching in two weeks, yet fans shouldn’t expect any reviews before launch, as Team Cherry may not be sending out early codes to sites and influencers.

Traditionally, video game developers and publishers send out codes to outlets ahead of time, so they can play it and have their reviews done before the game comes out. When that doesn’t happen, it’s considered a really bad sign for the state of the game, especially when the knowledge becomes public.

Hollow Knight: Silksong will be released on September 4, 2025. This means Team Cherry has plenty of time to send out review codes, but apparently, that won’t be the case. Jason Schreier of Bloomberg has claimed on BlueSky that no codes will be given, as the developers don’t want reviewers to have access to the game before Kickstarter backers.

Is The Lack Of Hollow Knight: Silksong Reviews A Bad Sign?

Considering that Hollow Knight: Silksong has been in development for seven years, it’s safe to say that the developers probably have all their ducks in a row. If they haven’t by now, then all that time may as well have been wasted.
