Hollow Knight: Silksong is real. It feels pretty unbelievable at this point, but thanks to a new release date trailer from developer Team Cherry earlier today, we'll all be playing Hollow Knight: Silksong in just two weeks.
Following the trailer's reveal, an interview with Team Cherry by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier went live, in which the studio explained why the game took so long, why it didn't communicate with fans, and talked about the general development timeline of the game. It's in this interview that Team Cherry also laid out its plans for Hollow Knight: Silksong beyond its launch next month.
At the end of the interview, Team Cherry co-founders Ari Gibson and William Pellen pretty much confirm that Hollow Knight: Silksong will get plenty of post-launch content, and that it will be "equally as exciting" as the game itself.
"The most interesting thing now is what can we add to it next," says Gibson. "We got a plan. Admittedly, some of the plans for that stuff are kind of ambitious as well, but hopefully we can achieve some of it."
