Even though we still don't have a firm release date for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, we've already learned a lot about it since its reveal. We've even been given a look at some of the suits Bats will wear in the game, revealing the hero's lesser-known rainbow suit will be part of his wardrobe. That has predictably resulted in some labeling the Lego game woke, but they probably should have checked Batman's back catalog first.
The Dark Knight has been sporting rainbow colors for so long that his multi colored suit pre-dates the creation of the Pride rainbow flag. The Pride flag was created and has been used to represent the LGBTQ community since 1978. Batman was wearing rainbow colors for a full 21 years before that.
Lego Game News shared a screenshot of the Batman suit selection screen from Legacy of the Dark Knight. Alongside some of the other suits you'll have to choose from - most of which have been pulled from the movies you'll be playing through - is an uncharacteristic rainbow suit.
