Pokemon shared an uncharacteristic teaser followed by another earlier today that promised a reveal this morning, and now we have it. If you were expecting the teasers to culminate in the reveal of a new Mega Evolution, then have a gold star, as Pokemon provided us with a first look at Mega Victreebel.
The "Sweet Scent Incident" tease might have led some of you to accurately predict that the next Pokemon to get the Mega Evolution treatment would be Victreebel. Even if you couldn't figure it out, eagle-eyed Pokemon fans noticed the reveal was accidentally spoiled slightly ahead of time thanks to the reveal's YouTube video description, which mentions Mega Victreebel by name.
The trailer was a Blair Witch-style video following two trainers navigating a very creepy, seemingly abandoned house. After being jump scared by a wild Spinarak, the pair discovers the house isn't abandoned. A third trainer stumbles backwards out of a room in a panic, closely followed by our first look at Mega Victreebel.
