Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is getting a Survivors mode, Ubisoft has announced. Based on the currently available information, the newly confirmed addition looks like an expanded edition of the Survival mode from the first The Division game.

Tom Clancy's The Division received Survival mode in November 2016, roughly eight months following its original release. The experience challenged players to brave subzero blizzards, monitor their vitals and supplies, collect antivirals, and ultimately extract via a helicopter. As such, Survival offered a mixture of PvE elements and high-stakes urgency, delivering a tense experience that offered something different from the base game. Between Survival mode and the Dark Zone—which shared a similar premise but with less challenging conditions—The Division is widely regarded as a pioneer of the extraction genre. And though Ubisoft never followed up on it, that's soon set to change.

During the still-ongoing 2025 edition of Gamescom, Ubisoft announced a plethora of news related to The Division franchise, including a Survivors mode for The Division 2.
