Sorry Arkham Fans, The New Lego Batman Won't Have Its Iconic Death Scenes

If you're like many Batman Arkham fans trying to take the stink off from having to sit through Gotham Knights or Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, then the recently revealed Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks to be right up your alley. With its focus on the Batman movies, and with a map that is eerily similar to that of Arkham Knight, it is almost certainly the game Arkham fans have been waiting for.

That said, while the Batman Arkham comparisons are plentiful, it seems like things won't extend to the franchise's iconic "Game Over" screens.

As first shared on social media, the upcoming Lego Batman title will not incorporate those iconic death scenes. Instead, it'll keep things understandably PG with a "Mission Failed" screen. What's more, if you die three times on the game's Dark Knight difficulty, you'll be reset to the beginning of the encounter. Ouch.

For those not in the know, if you happened to get "killed" in the Arkham series, particularly Arkham Knight since it was rated M for Mature, there was a built-in scene with a villain from that point in the story.
