Another Nintendo Direct Appears To Be Coming In September

It's been a busy summer for Nintendo. Following the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, they've held several Nintendo Directs.

In June, they showcased Donkey Kong Bananza to the world. In July, they hosted a Pokémon Presents and a Partner Showcase. August also saw two Nintendo Directs: an Indie World and a 45-minute showcase for Kirby Air Riders.

One thing missing from that is Nintendo's traditional Direct presentation that showcases upcoming first-party games releasing in the near future. This is an event that has taken place in September every year since 2016, with the exception of 2024, but they essentially punted on that year in preparation for the launch of the Switch 2.

It looks like 2025 will follow suit with a September Direct taking place before Tokyo Game Show.

There Is Reportedly An Upcoming Nintendo Direct This September Before TGS

Several industry insiders have been reporting for a while that we're getting yet another Nintendo Direct this September. Now, VGC's sources are reporting the same thing, with the rumored date of September 12th, which is a Friday.

That date is special for Nintendo because it's a year before the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros....
