Battlefield 2024's Popularity Is Now Rivaling Call of Duty

Hot off the success of the Battlefield 6 beta, it appears that people have Battlefield fever.

Demand for the game has been impressive. Following its reveal trailer, the game saw over 500,000 wishlist additions. Its Open Beta servers saw a full queue reaching as high as 50,000 players.

There's a lot of anticipation leading into the release of Battlefield 6, and you can't help but wonder if EA and DICE can meet it. The company expects Battlefield 6 to see over 100 million players, which is a pretty big number considering that the franchise averages 20-30 million copies sold. However, they did tout over 4.9 billion player eliminations during the beta.

Now, there's even more fuel for the fire that Battlefield 6 may be able to at least come close to its lofty expectations.

Battlefield 2042's Steam Player Count Doubles Its Previous 12-Month High

According to SteamDB, Battlefield 2042's player count recently peaked at just under 75,000 players on August 18th, following the conclusion of the Battlefield 6 beta.
