The sheer copium on display, as fans desperately try to out-Silkpost each other, has been a fascinating glimpse into the gamer pysche that made even Half-Life fans look tame.
But one Silkpost stands out from all the rest. Four months ago, u/Responsible-Soup7093 shared some cursed fan art of Hornet—snogging the artist—holding up a sign that read 04/09. "Skong release date will be [September 4] guys, trust," they captioned the post. Lo and behold, last week, Team Cherry announced exactly that.
"I know it sounds like I'm flexing but I'm genuinely just shocked," they explained. "I did a Silkpost on the r/silksong subreddit 139 days ago with a funny drawing that I made for a friend. I didn't have enough karma so my post was removed. And now no one will believe me."
