Exclusive: "A Bit Of Meditation Is Really Important" - Suda51 Explains His Feelings About Losing The Lollipop Chainsaw IP

Last month, it was confirmed that Lollipop Chainsaw would be making a grand return. Following the unsuccessful launch of Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, a partnership was formed between Dragami Games (who created the remaster and now own the brand) and Nada Holdings, a company with "a long track record of leading investment and development projects in anime and games," to continue working with the IP.

The pair said they would "begin new IP development for Lollipop Chainsaw" while cherishing "the spirit of the original and work hard to meet the expectations of our fans."

Naturally, the series revival will be without its two original creators, developer Suda51 and director and DCU CEO James Gunn. At this year's Gamescom, we sat down with Suda51 and asked him for his thoughts on the return of his beloved IP.

Lollipop Chainsaw is a cult classic. Released in 2012, the title sees players take control of cheerleader Juliet Starling as she battles hordes of undead.
