Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is easily this year's biggest surprise package, as developer Sandfall Games came out of nowhere to deliver what many see as one of the best RPGs ever made. Understandably, a lot of talk surrounding Sandfall is about what the studio plans on making next, whether it be a new Clair Obscur game, or something completely different.

Sandfall itself hasn't said much about its future plans, with our only hint coming from COO François Meurisse that the studio is digging into "the ideas we already have for the next game". We have no idea what Sandfall is working on right now, but thanks to a new interview, we know that the studio doesn't plan on totally leaving Clair Obscur behind.

In an interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 creative director Guillaume Broche was asked what the thought process is at Sandfall about the potential for Clair Obscur to become a franchise. Understandably, Broche doesn't give away too many details, but he does say that Expedition 33 "is not the end" of the series.
