Tomorrow brings the anticipated release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of the PlayStation 2's Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
If the reviews are anything to go by, then we're in for a treat, as critics have said that it's a faithful remake of the 2004 PS2 masterpiece, successfully bringing the franchise back to life.
It's been a decade since the last new Metal Gear Solid game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (no, we're not counting 2018's Metal Gear Survive). Hideo Kojima, creator of the series, moved on after a messy divorce from Konami and has released two Death Stranding titles since.
Konami appears to be prepping their developers, and audiences, for a new Metal Gear Solid game without Kojima, but for now, this remake is the first bit of good news Metal Gear Solid fans have had in quite some time.
