Xbox Game Pass Streaming For Lower Tiers Coming Just In Time For Silksong

Microsoft is expanding the Xbox Game Pass tiers that can use cloud streaming to play games on weak hardware, just in time for the launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong, which is easily the subscription service’s biggest game of the year.

While Google Stadia may have died a swift death, other companies are championing streaming services for games. In the case of Microsoft, those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate have access to cloud streaming for select games, allowing them to be played through a browser.

Until now, cloud streaming has been restricted to the most expensive Xbox and PC Game Pass tiers. That’s about to change, as Microsoft has announced that it's rolling out cloud streaming for the lower tiers.

Cloud Streaming Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass Core & Standard

Those signed up to Xbox Insider will be able to use cloud streaming on all three Xbox Game Pass tiers: Core, Standard, and Ultimate. This means that way more players will be able to experience streaming across multiple devices.
