The team behind Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater want original creator Hideo Kojima to play the remake since it's so "respectful" of the 2004 classic.

We're just a few days away from the launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is finally giving the long-suffering fans of MGS something good to eat after Konami and Kojima's legendary fallout. While most of us are excited to reexperience Snake Eater with a new coat of paint, series creator Hideo Kojima has already confirmed that he's not bothered.

When asked by Ssense if he'd be trying out Delta: Snake Eater, Kojima simply laughed and said "No, I won't", making it very clear that he's not interested in revisiting his past. The team behind the remake has recently responded to his comment and revealed that they wish that wasn't the case.

As pointed out by FRVR, Inverse recently had the chance to chat with some of the team at Virtuos about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. During the interview, Inverse asked Delta's producer Noriaki Okamura what he thought of Kojima saying that he wasn't going to be playing the remake.
