As we all predicted, Helldivers 2's launch on Xbox has had a massive impact on the game's playercount, which is the highest it's been since launch.
When Helldivers 2 launched on PlayStation and Steam last year, it quickly emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the year, which was reflected in its massive player base and dedicated community. The months after launch were a bit of a different story, however, with many strange changes and nerfs hitting Helldivers 2's Steam reviews like an orbital strike.
Since then, Helldivers 2 has recovered a fair bit and is in a much better place than it was this time last year. It's in such a good place, in fact, that it's just made a historic jump over to Xbox and brought a brand new Halo-themed Warbond with it. That was clearly a very good decision on PlayStation's part, as Helldivers 2 is back to being the roaring success it was at launch.
