Helldivers 2 has finally launched on Xbox, meaning a whole boatload of new recruits will be dropping into their first missions over the next week or so. In fact, Helldivers 2 has already managed to surpass its previous highest player count thanks to Xbox, meaning there are a lot of fresh Helldivers out there realizing just how hard it can be to be a enjoyer of democracy.
Ever since launch, the Helldivers subreddit has been filled with videos and clips of Xbox players on their first missions into enemy territory, and just like the rest of us when the game first launched, a lot of them are immediately humbled or find themselves accidentally blowing up their fellow soldiers.
For example, one Reddit user called IQnz shared a clip of them on their first mission, which had almost gone swimmingly. That was until they were waiting for the airship to land, only to accidentally jog underneath the very lethal thrusters and end up torching themselves to death. As they very appropriately pointed out, "mistakes were made".
