Fortnite is a fast-paced game that's constantly evolving. That means there tends to be a lot of trial and error on Epic's part, where developers will add something new and then tweak it to best fit the game as they go. The latest example of that was the Precision Air Strike, a new weapon that barely lasted a day before getting kicked from the island, presumably due to how overpowered it is.
Fortnite's Precision Air Strike works similarly to air strikes in other games. If you're lucky enough to find the Legendary item during a Battle Royale - the only mode in which the new weapon was available - you can use it to rain fire down on your enemies. The thing is, after only a few hours, it became abundantly clear that the air strike was letting players rain down a little too much fire.
Social media was quickly overrun with Fortnite players sharing footage of their air strikes, wiping out multiple players in one fell swoop while they just stood well back and watched the chaos unfold, and the eliminations mount up.
