Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was released just yesterday, and players are hard at work discovering everything Konami changed in the comprehensive remake of Metal Gear Solid 3.
Snake Eater includes two different modes, a "Legacy Style" mode and a "New Style" mode. The former replicates the systems of the original game, and the latter updates a couple of Metal Gear Solid 3's clunkier systems with updated ones.
The team at Konami decided to have some fun when creating these modes, and updated the old pin-up magazines from the original with newer photos of the same gravure models (nice spot, Automaton).
The video above shows off the difference between the legacy and new modes. In legacy mode, the same picture of Yumi Kikuchi from the original has been included, with an updated resolution. Meanwhile, in the new mode, a more recent pin-up of Kikuchi is featured.
In an interview with Famitsu, creative producer Yuji Korekado explained that they wanted to capture a 'Where are they now?' style with the updated posters.
