Hollow Knight: Silksong's Price May Have Been Leaked By GameStop, And It's Actually Quite Cheap

It's becoming more and more expensive to keep up with video games these days, with $80 launch prices threatening to become the new norm, and Rockstar chomping at the bits to release Grand Theft Auto 6 for a whopping $100. This is despite lower-priced titles like Peak and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, as well as free-to-play games like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch 2, exploding in popularity recently.

It feels as though the more hype that surrounds a game, the more developers and publishers feel like they can get away with charging for it, which i guess makes sense from a purely capitalistic point of view. One of the most highly-anticipated games to launch this year is Hollow Knight: Silksong, and despite launching in less than a week, the game's price has yet to be revealed by Team Cherry.

We don't know why the studio is being so coy about the game's pricing, and it's led to a lot of theorycrafting about what Team Cherry could potentially get away with. It's been in development for a long time, and the hype surrounding it means it could easily sell for upwards of $50. There have been far worse...
