Helldivers 2 Game Director Thanks The Fans For Creating The "Wholesomest Community"

Generally speaking, Helldivers 2 has bucked the trend of most online shooters by having a pretty great community. This isn't always the case, as I'm sure anyone who's been booted from a lobby for being a lower level can attest to, but the state of the text chat is much better than I've seen in other games.

Now, it looks like Helldivers 2 veterans are being just as welcoming to new players, as the game director thanks the community for embracing everyone who is joining from Xbox. It comes after Helldivers 2 was ported to Xbox Series X/S earlier this week, finally making it available across most major platforms.

"Over the last couple of days I've seen so many comments from the new players joining the community and they are truly wonderful and inspiring [sic]," says game director Johan Pilestedt, speaking to the community on Reddit. "That so many are shocked by how kind and empathic this community is, shows that we need more kindness in our digital lives."
