First, to really drive it home, this is about the original Red Dead Redemption. Not Red Dead Redemption 2. We have ample reason to suspect that Rockstar's 2020 hit sequel is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in due time.
But the OG John Marston Wild West tale, which is already available on Switch, might be getting something of a spruced-up Switch 2 port with (presumably) stronger performance and richer visuals. Maybe. Perhaps. This is a weird one, so bear with me.
UK-based retailer Currys has a curious bit of pre-order availability on its digital storefront: a listing for "NINTENDO SWITCH 2 Red Dead Redemption", which you can view here. Right off the bat, things are odd; the image is just the Nintendo Switch port, but with the "Download Code Only" tag on its bottom-right corner. It's also worth noting that there's been a page on Currys' site for that Switch port's physical version ever since it came out two years ago. It features the same image, albeit without the code-only disclaimer, of course.
So, is this just a new digital code listing for an existing product? Maybe. Maybe not. I'd hesitate to have ever called...
