It might be hard to believe, but Borderlands 4 is just 13 days away from its release on September 12, which is pretty crazy considering it feels like just yesterday we were all debating what it means to be a "real fan."

Ahead of its release, Gearbox Software has outlined its post-launch plans for the looter shooter, including DLC, endgame support and other bits and bobs. Specifically, Ultimate Vault Hunter mode was detailed, and let's just say, there are some major changes.

To start, Ultimate Vault Hunter mode will not require that players go through the campaign again. Instead, you'll have access to a suite of curated challenges that will grow in difficulty, with loot rewards that will make the whole experience worth it. Five difficulty options will be made available in Ultimate Vault Hunter, and Gearbox notes that it has been designed to welcome players of all skill levels.

Beyond Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, Borderlands 4 will also see the release of two story-based DLC packs, one of which will feature Ellie and is titled "Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned." The second story pack does not have any concrete details at the moment, though both...
