Gacha makes the world go round, or so it would seem when you take a look at the highest-earning games from August 2025, with 100s of millions of dollars across the list. There's one big surprise though: the decade-old Fate/Grand Order just rocketed up the list by eight places to claim the top spot after its summer festival clearly brought in the cash.
Fate/Grand Order jumps past mega-popular gacha games like Pokemon TCG Pocket and Genshin Impact, almost doubling its revenue compared to July 2025. Other big winners include Arknights and Puzzle & Dragons.
Fate/Grand Order was released way back in 2015, although originally only in Japan. A western version was released in 2017. Developed by Lasengle, the game regularly brings in a monthly revenue of around $20 million, but the recent summer festival made almost double the cash in August 2025.
The summer festival introduced a new story and a free unlockable character, Cnoc Na Riabh. There were a lot of other activities and rewards to be earned, as well as a range of cosmetics that fit the summer theme.
