Recently, Blizzard Entertainment came under fire on social media for some interesting descriptions of the new zones coming in the newest World of Warcraft expansion, Midnight.
On the World of Warcraft subreddit, one user noticed an interesting pattern: the overusage of the words mystery and secrets.
There were immediate concerns that the descriptions were generated by AI, although at the time, there was no official confirmation. Blizzard was too busy unveiling new information for the Midnight expansion at Gamescom. However, they seemed to be doing it in a way that generated little to no hype through unstreamed developer panels that only drip-fed information through influencers on social media. That's another topic for another day, though.
