It's been a rough decade for Rayman fans. Outside of some mobile releases, there hasn't been a proper Rayman game since Rayman Legends in 2013. While other platformer mascots are getting games, Rayman has been well and truly left in the dust - but that could all be about to change.
As Ubisoft celebrates 30 years of Rayman, and teases that a new game is in the works, it's claimed that we could get a release much sooner than it has been suggested. According to Insider Gaming, a Rayman remake is "tentatively" targeting a late 2026 launch window.
According to sources, development on the remake - codenmamed Steambot - has been going "incredibly well". With that in mind, it sounds like that late 2026 release date could be a reality, even if Ubisoft is keeping quiet on whether or not the project actually exists.
Insider Gaming has spoken about this rumoured remake previously. Last year, it claimed that it was being developed by Ubisoft Milan (the same team behind Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle), with some devs from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown being moved over to the project.
