A legal battle from Blizzard Entertainment seems to be brewing, and it’s targeting something insanely close to fans of the developer – Classic World Of Warcraft. Despite being almost two decades old, classic WoW is still regarded as one of the greatest eras in MMO history.

Honestly, it’s not surprising how often fans beg for classic WoW to come back in full force, as those days were much simpler; for instance, there was no need for the mass microtransaction slop Blizzard later became known for.

Although Blizzard has created their own options to play the original World Of Warcraft through methods like WoW Classic, fans have taken it into their own hands to create something reminiscent of that original experience. One of them is Turtle WoW, a notable alternative private server that adds custom content on top of that vanilla experience.

However, Blizzard has recently filed a complaint against Turtle WoW in the California court system, explicitly pointing out that Turtle WoW not only steals Blizzard's original content but has been actively seeking to profit from it.
