Resident Evil Requiem has only been confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but leakers claim that Capcom's new survival horror will launch for last-gen, too.
"I won't beat around the bush, Resident Evil Requiem should be releasing [on] PlayStation 4," Dusk Golem claimed. "Talked about it with five different people in the last few weeks, and know another guy with a good reputation said as much less than a week ago. So, not from me, but I have been hearing the same thing. But if the question is, is it happening or not, the answer pretty much is, yeah, it's happening."
There is a slight catch, however. Dusk Golem speculated, based on what he's heard, that it won't be a 1:1 port, but a slightly altered version that strips back the PS5 and Series X/S-exclusive features.
"My personal interpretation is they're consciously designing different platform versions," he said in a follow-up tweet. "Requiem has new tech it's using, as well as features for current-gen consoles, like the new ray-tracing lighting system they're using. And making RE9 fit with current-gen expectations is part of their goal.
My guess is it'll...
