There have been rumors swirling suggesting NetEase had somehow figured out a way to put Marvel Rivals on PS4. Considering the heat my PS5 gives off when it's running the hero shooter, I took those rumors with a big grain of salt. Then the PS4 logo appeared at the end of the new Rivals' season four trailer, confirming that somehow, the game really is coming to last-gen hardware.
It's coming really soon, too. If you haven't had the opportunity to play Rivals yet because you don't have a compatible platform, but you own a PS4, then you'll be able to join the fight against multiple Dooms starting on September 12, 2025. That's the same day as season four begins, a season which, as was confirmed via the new trailer, will introduce Angela and Daredevil to the rapidly growing roster.
One of those characters will likely be added to kick off the new season, and then the other midway through, as has become the pattern in Rivals at this stage. Which hero will be added first hasn't been revealed. The trailer doesn't make a big deal about the game coming to PS4, but the logo can...
