Sophie Turner, who had long been rumoured to take the mantle, will be taking to the dangerous fringes of the world as the iconic PlayStation-originated gaming heroine when the show officially begins production on January 19, 2026.

She also starred as Jean Grey in two X-Men films, Lauren Lane in Trust, Erica in Do Revenge, and Joan Hannington in the 2024 British crime drama miniseries Joan.
