Assassin's Creed Sightseeing Goes Mobile With New Baghdad Tour

Ever since Assassin’s Creed Origins, mainline Assassin’s Creed games have striven to truly broaden players’ historical knowledge of ancient cultures, societies, and environments through bonus modes called Discovery Tour.

First debuting as a free update for Origins in 2018, Discovery Tour was a non-combat mode that allowed players to freely explore various regions and listen to audio-guided tours of the regions’ real history based on research conducted by historians, researchers, and museums.

Discovery Tour went on to appear in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it was notably absent in both Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Assassin’s Creed Shadows, instead being replaced with text-only historical codices.

That was until Ubisoft announced the free launch of the Discovery Tour App - Medieval Baghdad, ahead of Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s surprise update coming later this year.

A Tour of Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Baghdad

Unlike the previously released Discovery Tours, the Medieval Baghdad tour isn’t one built into Mirage itself and is instead an entirely separate app which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
