A new Max Raid event has started, and will last through the month of February (via GameSpot). All month long, certain Fighting- and Psychic-type Pokémon will make appearances in Max Raid dens. During the event, gamers are more likely to run into Machamp, Lucario, Falinks, Gothitelle, Reuniclus, and Orbeetle when they enter Max Raid dens. There is also the chance for players to run into Gigantamax Machamp and Orbeetle when they take on a Max Raid den. Gigantamax Pokemon are usually difficult to encounter, so players should take advantage of this opportunity to add them to their collection while they can.
There is another Max Raid event occurring in Pokémon Sword and Shield soon. Starting on February 3rd, a Max Raid Battle event will begin, and will run until February 8th. During this time, players will take on level 100 Cramorant. If players can collectively defeat a certain number of these Flying-type Pokémon, then the community as a whole will be rewarded. Rewards will include Bottle Caps, Flame Orbs, Toxic Orbs, and Pearl Strings. It was also revealed that during this event, players may run into Quagsire, Golurk, Flygon, and Indeedee when they enter Max Raid dens.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
