Hollow Knight: Silksong's release was so big that it crashed all four of the major storefronts it launched on yesterday morning. Even Nintendo struggled with the indie behemoth's arrival, but despite that, the Hollow Knight sequel has shot to the top of the Switch 2 chart, seemingly becoming the first non-Nintendo game to achieve that feat since the new console launched.

Stealth40k has shared a screenshot of the Switch 2 eShop chart, showing that Silksong has managed to dethrone Donkey Kong Bananza. That placement may vary depending on where you are in the world, but I can confirm here in the UK, Silksong is also the best-selling Switch 2 game at the time of typing this.

According to charts shared by Nintendo Everything, only Nintendo-published games have topped the Switch 2 eShop chart between the console's launch in June until now. Mario Kart World led the charge for the first four weeks until handing off the baton to Donkey Kong Bananza.
